ViLearn

Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026

The short version

  • ViLearn is free to read and needs no account. Signing in only saves your progress.
  • Use it to learn. Do not scrape it, resell it, or republish the explainers as your own.
  • The AI tutor can be wrong. Check anything that matters before you act on it.
  • This is a young product. It may change, break, or be unavailable, and we do not promise otherwise.
  • Questions: hello@absolutedevs.in.

1. Who we are, and what this covers

ViLearn is an interactive engineering-learning platform operated by Absolute Devs at vilearn.absolutedevs.in. It teaches technical concepts as visual stories, live simulations and quizzes, with an AI tutor available alongside them.

These terms are the agreement between you and Absolute Devs for your use of that site and everything on it. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

2. Accepting these terms

By using ViLearn you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. If you use ViLearn on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

3. The service

Every explainer on ViLearn can be read without an account and without payment. We may add, change or remove explainers and features at any time. We may also introduce paid features in future; if we do, anything you can use free today stays clearly marked, and we will not silently move existing content behind a paywall.

4. Your account

An account is optional. It exists so your progress follows you between devices. You can sign in with a magic link sent to your email address, or with Google. There are no passwords.

5. How you may use ViLearn

Use it to learn, freely and as much as you like. What you may not do:

Quoting a paragraph or a screenshot with attribution and a link back is fine and welcome. Reproducing an entire explainer is not.

6. The AI tutor

"Ask ViLearn" is a large language model answering questions about the explainer you are reading. Two things follow from that, and both matter:

Answers are provided as-is, with no warranty of accuracy. We may limit tutor usage to keep the service running for everyone.

7. Who owns what

The explainers, simulations, quizzes, artwork, code and the ViLearn name and logo belong to Absolute Devs, or to the people who licensed them to us. These terms do not transfer any of that to you. You get permission to use ViLearn for your own learning, and nothing more.

Third-party names that appear inside explainers — DNS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch and others — belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the subject being taught. ViLearn is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

8. What you send us

This covers messages to the AI tutor, waitlist submissions, feedback and emails. You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store and process it so we can run the service and answer you, and to use anonymised, aggregated information about how the product is used to improve it — which means we may learn "many people got stuck on step 3 of the Kafka explainer", never that you did.

If you send us an idea or suggestion, we may act on it without owing you anything. Please do not send us anything confidential.

9. Availability

ViLearn is offered free, and it is early. There is no uptime guarantee and no service level agreement. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, including the AI tutor, at any time and without notice. We will try not to be careless about it, but you should not build anything that depends on ViLearn being available.

10. Ending it

You can stop using ViLearn whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — most often that means scraping or abusing the tutor. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.

11. No warranty

ViLearn is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is accurate or complete, that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

It is a teaching tool. Explainers simplify real systems on purpose in order to make them understandable, so they are not a substitute for official documentation, professional advice, or your own testing.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Absolute Devs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of ViLearn — including any decision you make based on an explainer or on an answer from the AI tutor.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will announce material changes on the home page. Continuing to use ViLearn after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing a term straight away does not mean we have given it up. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about ViLearn.
